Boonoo Boonoo National Park

Saturday Ryan and I went to Boonoo Boonoo NP (pronounced Ban-a Ban-noo). Ryan is traveling around Australia on his motorcycle so I had my first trip on the bike this weekend. Boonoo Boonoo NP is about an hour and a half from Stanthorpe, and known for its waterfalls and a swimming hole at the top. The park was beautiful, but more impressive was the ride there. We drove past fields and fields of cattle, horses and vineyards. We also found towns that made Stanthorpe look cosmopolitan in comparison. Ryan lent me a helmet and jacket that would "save skin from coming off if we skid", how lovely!! And much to my surprise I loved the bike ride! It wasn't nearly as gut wrenching as I thought it would be, and a lot of fun.
On the way back we saw my first wild wallaby, but it bounded away when we circled back to take a picture. The wild ones are less photo friendly then the ones in the zoo, shocking I know!
